Building torn down at PWDD was the old pipe shop adjacent to the fitout berth dock. Not sure when you saw the windmill blades, but there are now approximately 75 units or perhaps more on racks in the rear parking lot. Possibly old building removed to make loading dockside much easier with the size of the blades. As you mentioned, not much has been said lately about the dock and its ownership. Advertising for labourers to set blocks would most certainly indicate upcoming work, most likely over the winter months and perhaps beyond

PWDD is owned now by the Seaway folks. They recently tore down some unused buildings close to the canal. There is also several dozen windmill blades and tower parts now stored in the area at the side of the parking lot. We locals are led to believe these windmill items will be loaded on an ocean boat at some point soon. ( Canal closes Dec 31 )
Strangely enough there has been nothing said locally about Heddle operating the dry dock, although I saw the Indeed.com posting by Heddle for Welders.
Time will tell.

In the post down farther. Heddle Marine is looking to hire welders. So there must be something going there and beyond as they're looking for help beyond the winter.
