Hi Dan, I think that I can answer some of your questions as far as the Great Republic. First, you are correct as far as the hull colors of ASC and the GLF stacks when she was doing those Seaway trips back in 2012 I think it was? I do recall and remember her making many of those runs and most of those trips I believe were ore trips to Quebec City. There may have been a few other cargoes but it was mostly ore pellets that she carried to Quebec. You had asked if she has made any trips through the Welland or Seaway since that time? The answer is No she has yet to make any voyages or trips since her hull was painted in GLF colors. As for where the ore loads came from, not sure without looking it up as some may have come from places like Duluth-Superior and Two Harbors maybe but that is all I know and can remember and it's only a guess as I'd have to do some research to which sorry to say I don't have the time for presently. Also and again, without looking up the data I don't know or have the information as far as how many Seaway trips she made in the 2012 season? One thing to consider also that year as well, ASC had the H. Lee White making a few of those trips as well which I believe was the first time she ventured at least as far as the Seaway goes. Granted and Yes, I know that she had made a few trips in the past through the Welland but before 2012 she had not to my knowledge made any trips as far east as the Seaway. Hope that this helps answers some of your questions. God Bless you and your family and I think about you often along with your family and you are always in my thoughts and prayers as well!
