Capt you're right overall give the commercials a 4, it's sad to thing that for the most part things are geared toward the young, like us more experienced haven't any influence anymore.. So Dodge Ram used an old voice over from the wonderful Paul Harvey,just goes to show you where the generations are. As for the game I made a few bucks I think we should throw away all the electronics and just play the game the value of real initiative has been so diluted it's sad to see us all worshiping the cash register, so is it destiny or fate the next time we see the Bills or Lions in the Stupid Bowl we'll be too old to realize it

On a scale of 1-10 I'd rate the commercials a 4. Hardly worth spending millions on that quality. The lights went out because the half time show was not worth burning all those lights. The game itself got a bit interesting in the fourth quarter. All-in-all --- a bit below the quality I was expecting !

I didn't care which team won the game. But after seeing the Ravens coach rip on that stadium official that was trying to explain to him what happened to the lights, I was a 49ers fan. It's not like that official turned the lights off for something to do. The coach was way out of line. I know you can say it was all in the heat of the big game, but that dude needs some anger management work!

I head someplace on TV the average price of a Super Bowl ticket for this game is $3800 bucks. I found that hard to believe so I did a little checking. Ticket prices for this game range from $1100 in nosebleed to $5300 down front. That's unreal! Now I'm really going to date myself here, but the one and only Super Bowl I went to was the Vikings vs Raiders in Superbowl XI played in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. back in 1977. I got the Super Bowl tickets from a company that had season tickets. The face value printed on the ticket was $25 bucks. That was on the 30 yard line 20 rows up. $25 dollars to $5300 dollars is a heck of a jump! Even though the Vikings lost, I'll never forget that game. I'll also never forget the game that got the Vikings into the Super Bowl. I was at that game also. A very cold December day at the old Met Stadium in Bloomington, MN. If the Vikings won that game against the Rams, they went to the Super Bowl. The 4 of us at the game made the pact that if the Vikings beat the Rams, we would go to the Super Bowl also. They won, we went.

Well after giving it much thought and I mean lots of it perhaps I may have come up with my prediction for the Super Bowl game. My prediction is Ravens win 27-23 and Ray Lewis wins his second Super Bowl and MVP award. I am betting on a good close and also competitive Super Bowl much like what the last few have been as far as being close competitive games and Super Bowls. Now as far as the TV commercials go, I am giving them an eight on my scale. Guess we will just have to wait and see how it all plays out in time.

Well at least for some of us NFL fans we got a lot of wishes that were granted in this year's Super Bowl. For instance we got the first ever "Brother vs Brother showdown in which both teams are coached by brothers!" Also, you got two teams that have not been to a Super Bowl in a while and have lots of storylines in this one along with the brilliant and outstanding career of Ray Lewis coming to an end. The 49ers are going for their sixth win in the Super Bowl matching only the Pittsburgh Steelers as the only other NFL team to conquer that feat. Keep in mind though that the 49ers are 5-0 in Super Bowls by the way. Also, sorry to say this and disappoint some NFL fans out there but at least with this Super Bowl "you don't have the usual Brady and Manning in it and I am happy and glad for that one!" At least we get to see some new teams and players in the game for a change which is great.

Both of the Atlanta games would have made great super bowl games as long as people didn't tune out after the first half. Games that go right down to the wire for a win or loss are fun to watch!

Even if Atlanta had made it to the "Big Game and Dance" I would not have picked them anyway as they don't have any experience as far as playing in a Super Bowl. Yeah I admit that the Falcons played in only one in the late 1990's but, that was way long ago and most of these players weren't even playing in the NFL then. This will definitely be a Super Bowl for the ages as you will have the first ever "Brother vs Brother Super Bowl matchup!" Just have to wonder what Harbaugh the father and a former coach and the rest of the family is rooting for Jim or John? Granted SF has a neat offense and a "No-Name in Colin Kaepernik as their QB who could be another up and coming Tom Brady!" However, my pick though is the Ravens as I want to see my man Ray Lewis go out on top and win another Super Bowl and be the MVP so he can retire at the top of his game. Give me a couple of weeks to come up with a score for you all but, right now I have to go with the Ravens and Ray Lewis as the game MVP. Now, as long as the game itself is close and not a blowout and the commercials are not boring!

Atlanta might have been there, but just as in the Seattle game, they only played a half of game and let it go. If it weren't for the do-over kick in the Seattle game, Atlanta would have been done already. Ravens-9ers should be a good game!

If Seattle didn't give Atlanta a do-over on the final field goal attempt, Seattle might have been Super Bowl bound. But, if, coulda, shoulda don't cut it. It looked like Seattle and Atlanta changed uniforms with each other at half time. What a turn around!

Well, we are now down to the "final four" in the NFL Playoff field and in the AFC what more can you ask for as far as the title game goes meaning the Ravens vs the Patriots and Ray Lewis in his final season with the Ravens after 17 years going up against one of the best QB's in the game in Tom Brady! Wow, talk about a tough game to make a prediction on but, the Pats will be without one of their star players in Rob Gronkowski who injured his forearm in the game yesterday and is now out for the playoff run. I think Gronk was Brady's prime target to throw to in the passing game and now they will have their hands full without him. On the NFC side it is the 49ers vs the Falcons which should be very interesting as each team has not been to the Super Bowl in ages. The Falcons have been to one and lost to John Elway and the Broncos back in the late 1990's whereas the 49ers haven't been to the Super Bowl since the mid-1990's. Keep this in mind as well sports fans as the 49ers have played in "5 Super Bowls and won all of them never losing in any of them!" Can the 49ers get to a 6th Super Bowl and win it again with Kaepernik as their starting QB? Will Jim Harbaugh get the 49ers to the "big dance and win his first Super Bowl?" Think about this as he (Jim Harbaugh) was hired by the 49ers from Stanford to come in and try to turn the franchise around and in only his second season look what he's done. Remember back in the 1970's to early 1980's when the 49ers hired another man from Stanford mainly Bill Walsh to come in and take over and look at what he did as the rest of the story goes? So, who is your pick for the Super Bowl the "Harbaugh Brother Bowl" in which you may have the Ravens vs 49ers or maybe the Patriots vs 49ers as I am sure everyone wants and is eager to see? Guess we will have to wait and see what happens next weekend. Can't wait to see who will be in this year's Super Bowl game. Hopefully they come up with some good TV ads and the game is tight and close and not a blowout either. At least the Super Bowls of late have been good and close and tight not like before where they were so one-sided and boring by halftime.

I'll give you credit on your Ravens pick, well done. I was only talking about your Packers pick. Atlanta is up by 3 against Seattle, but they also just gave the ball away! Atlanta has beat Seattle in their last couple of meetings, so I hope this is a good game

The Ravens have more 'Lives' than my cat ! They should have died a number of times. All that said - Great game and how long will the Ravens luck hold out ?

I guess you can't win them all MN Boater and you're right about my 49ers pick as I bombed big time on that one! However, I got you all on my Super Bowl Picks as I got two good games and also matchups that I am sure people would love to see take place and happen. How about "Brother vs Brother" in the Super Bowl as far as the Harbaugh brothers are concerned? What a Super Bowl that would make as far as two coaches and brothers on opposite sidelines Jim on the 49ers side against John on the Ravens side and kind of ironic as each team made it to the Championship game last year only to lose before going to the Super Bowl. It won't be that way this year though as one of them will be heading to the Super Bowl. If the Ravens-49ers or "Harbaugh Bowl" though does not work out then how about the 49ers vs the Patriots instead? Either of those two Super Bowls should be a good game and an interesting one to watch that's for sure. Just wonder who the NFL and the fans want to see in the Super Bowl now that it won't be Peyton and the Broncos? Hey MN Boater give me credit though as I may have "bombed" on my Green Bay pick but I was right on the money with my Ravens pick over the Broncos! The only thing is they worried me there for a while though. Glad to see at least that Ray Lewis "lives to play another week in his 17 year career!"
