No. Sad to say I haven't went very far from Home. My first goel is to make it to engineer days. But I am a Carpenter and the funds have been a bit low. So don't get to go. I am changing carreers and am going to start driving fuel truck,so hoping to have steady work. and than am hoping to take Our Camper and make it to some boatnerd events. Maybe some Nessy sightings to;)

Mn Brett, have you ever been to Lock Ness? I regard it as one of the more exceptional places that I have ever been. About on par with the Bloody Angle at the Spotsylvania Courthouse Civil War Battlefield.

No, sad to say, no new trips since we last talked. I'm not into the Facebook stuff, so I'll just have to watch for you here. Stop in, say hi every now and then!

Hi, Lady Pirate1. We didn't go last year. My Son and I do a 4 day trip every year. Last year we went to WV to see some old logging railroads.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Soo.

I know what you mean about "just the facts", mn Brett! This "room" has gotten very serious. :)

Lady Pirate1. Welcome back! Long time, no hear!

Thanks, MN Boater! I am here a few times a week at least, but I seldom post- just read. Most of the gang has gone over to Facebook. I tried to register there as Lady Pirate but it wouldn't let me, so I'm Violet Mae there- my "other" personality. LOL

Any more exciting boating trips since we last "talked?" :)

Glad to see you posting here. I miss your wit.

Will you be at Engineers Day? My Son and I are planning to be there.

Hi Les! I'm going to try to be there! Did you go last year? I love being able to see the boats so close up like that, it's amazing! The only way it could have been any better last year would be if the Stinson had been locking through! I did wait until midnight at the park for the Stinson, but it locked through later. I heard it from the motel. :)

Ah, MN Brett! You finally see what they dragged up out of the lock ducts from the ballast tanks of the salties. Lets hope it doesn't climb the Tower of History!

Don't know about the "sea monster" but can anyone fill us in on just what all the material is out there on the east pier? Was a great shot of the old timbers. What was that steal frame behind them? And too, is that a "new" building at the end of the pier? Seems like what I question was more traditional to what I have been accustomed to seeing over the years.

TIA
