When I was a kid I'd spend the summer at my Grandfathers on Garth Bluff, with Lil Bay De Noc, on one side and the Whitefish River on the other side. My brother, cousins, and I use to ride our bikes down to the end of the road where the river met the lake and I remember across the river there being a tower of some sort that looked like a silo or an incinerator like what is on the Naham Peninsula near the Sturgeon River. Does anyone recall this? What it was? Do you have any pictures?
