Here are some more of the Canadian Marine Engineering that I have found so far. There is an excellent article on the Ice-breaking car ferry Prince Edward Island in the 1916 edition. I have briefly looked at the 1920 and 1916 editions, and I would say that these are all valuable historic material. Nice to read them.

There is quite a bit of interesting books at archive.org if you search under either Shipbuilding or Naval Architecture, but it helps if you restrict your search to a specific year block. I have been using 1800 to 1950.

That sure brought back some nostalgic memories seeing all those
steam machinery ads , reminded me of my up and downer days
on the old Pointe Noire as 4th .

Nice articles make for good read , as in those days these types
of periodicals were all the rage , and a great way for serious sea- farers to stay abreast of the shipping industry here at the time .


Just too bad we don`t have a lot of that here now in Canada ,
monthlies like Canadian Shipping and Marine Engineering come to
mind . Just not enough interest here in Canada , unlike the USA
and it`s maritime magazine selections , like Marine Log , Marine News , OE and Maritime Reporter .

I found a couple more of the Marine Engineering online, the one for 1916, which was during World War One, and the one for 1920. There are quite a few ads in the latter for Canadian shipbuilding companies, and a big spread on Algoma Steel.

Is there any interest in posting the locations of these as well?

There is a nice general arrangement drawing of a proposed Canadian Ice Breaker for duty on the St. Lawrence on page 20 (page 34 by Acrobat Reader count).
