Yes, Scott and Jim are gone and they will be missed. BUT, sailors move the ships from point A to point B, and always have.
There are retirements, untimely deaths, and people leaving companies all the time. The rest march on without them.
Tim Horton passed in 1974, and last I checked his legacy is still going strong.
The puck will be put in the goal, whoever the coach is on the bench.

Given the circumstance you laid out, that is exactly what I would expect to happen. It interesting that the demise of Rand would leave only two primary Canadian fleets for the movement of bulk cargoes.

Algoma already owns two 650s that are in competition with LLT. The new builds are simply to replace them.

ALgoma is bringing 650's into the trade which would be direct competition for LLT who have this sector all to themselves. If CSL buys the fleet and assumes the associated contracts they stand to blunt Algoma's attack. it would be a smart move as it would give them time to build 650's of their own.

They want the contracts to run under their current ships, some of which are laid up. Buy the company for the contracts and then scrap the hulls.

Yes, I noticed a couple of days ago she had been rotated the other way to unload the rest of her. Today I noted she had moved back to her former spot.

Sounds to me like they unloaded her sugar cargo and then she is now back at the Port Authority Dock in Toronto like you mentioned if I am correct? If she is back then at the Port Authority Dock then I wonder if she will sail in 2016? Perhaps maybe in the fall then?

AIS shows tug Diavlos Pride in the Mediterranean off the coast of Tunisia with a destination of Montreal and an ETA for the evening of May 14th

Just checked out the tug Diavlos Pride and sure enough I ended up by mis-spelling the name as to why I could not find it out at first. So I retyped the name in and found out that they are due to arrive in Montreal on or around May 15, 2016. Obviously this will be to tow a vessel laid-up in Montreal to an overseas destination and also to be scrapped. I don't know yet what vessel is expected to be towed for scrap as we will just have to keep watching and will soon know and find out.

"Diavlos Pride", spelled like that, is on her way to Montreal but her ETA for arrival is May 15, so she still has aways to go.

It's on ais, off Tunis, showing Monytral eta 5/5. The spelling is correct.

Guest are you sure about the tug Diavolos Pride arriving soon in Montreal? I ask as I do not see her at least listed yet for the Port website in Montreal nor can I found her on Marine Traffic along with the Vessel Tracker website. Did they get renamed possibly as again I cannot find or match a tug with that name unless I don't have the correct spelling? Any information is appreciated. Thanks.

The DIAVLOS PRIDE is on it's way to montreal, this is the same tug that towed the montrealais to turkey last year, wonder who will be the first to go?

Spruceglen is being guided into the Redpath slip by 3 tugs as we speak.

Radium Yellowknife, M.r Kane and Ocean Golf are assisting.

Not sure if they just moved her to unload the sugar, or whether she will be assuming her normal duties after this?

They are laying up Denny from what I was told they had to move her out of Hamilton but had to do some steel work on her first not sure what was done but I know they had Allied Marine on board

As of 11:35 p.m. a surprise boatnerds as the Ojibway departed from their lay-up in Hamilton, Ontario and is headed upbound in the Welland Canal tonight for Windsor, Ontario. They are due there in Windsor on April 26 at 0900 per their AIS. I don't know though if they are going there to load or to lay-up? Guess we will soon know and find out in a few days, unless someone else knows already?
