RIP Pineglen - Aka "Piney". Although to be honest, I started to get concerned when she started spending these year long stints in layup. Thankful I got to basque in her glorious presence while I could.
But, she won't be forgotten. Atleast not here.
Wasn't there something about the construction of the Pineglen that puts it at a disadvantage in comparison to other similarly designed vessels built during the late 1970s-early 1980s?
Lack of self unloader system, mainly. Supposedly her hull is made out of high tensile steel, so it's not a matter of being soft.
