Just looked at Boatnerd AIS. I see the Unknown there. I suspect that it is a virtual buoy. There are several on Marine Traffic.

BTW, B is off Buffalo not Toledo.

For the last few weeks AIS has shown a vessel(?) near where the Toledo entrance channel meets the East outer channel heading toward Detroit. It is marked as 'undefined' and yesterday was identified as 'B' in the vessel listing. Could someone tell me what that would be? Thanks
