The tug towing the algoma mariner, are they getting paid by the mile? Check out her past travel from Vera Cruz to tampa!

She traveled to Mexico for her five year survey and shipyard work similar to the Latimer the previous winter. The Mariner has spent significantly longer in the shipyard however, likely because she had significant stern damage from a collision or allision that occurred in the last year or two.

I’ve been out of the loop. Was the Mariner sold/damaged/etc.? Don’t know what precipitated the conversation. TIA

Thanks for the information. Explains the 5 kts she's running. Curious if getting her rudder and prop installed in Tampa was pre-planned or if plans changed in Veracruz.

Check that on location. Now have her at 26.6 N/85.9 W, middle of the Gulf heading to Tampa at around 5 kts.

She was reportedly towed from Veracruz to Tampa for further drydocking.

I see the Algoma Mariner is on the move. Left Veracruz on the 3rd for Tampa. Did she take on fuel or a load or both there? My info gets sketchy after that, believe she's now off the coast of South Carolina? Marine traffic doesn't pinpoint her location, just shows the general area and no further destination or ETA. Anyone have more info. Thanks
