The Tug Radium Yellowknife will be departing Toronto on Saturday arriving in the Picton Area on Sunday to prepare the Henry for its long tow to Thunder Bay.A brief stop will be made at Toronto .Expected arrival in Thunder Bay will be June 29 or 30th.

I sailed for many years both Canadian and Foreign ships with only one cook in galley.The quality of the food was never in question.I also sailed Canadian with 3 in the galley no difference. Both Captain and I made our own rooms.Not a problem.

In my research on this 2 reasons first the Canadian yards were building several ships with full order books.Port Weller was building Red Wing,Federal Palm and Sir.John Crosby.The others were also building full size lakes type ships.And secondly the cost of building Canadian as mentioned in the Book ...

Yes it did see limited use.There was a picture either in McKeils office or on a brochure with a cylinder of some type on the deck.

Congar became part of the McKeil fleet but I do not know the date.I looked over the ship as a barge in Hamilton in 2001-2 and the barge was broken up shortly after.

Port Arthur Shipyard site was purchased by Heddle Marine Services for a reported $1.35mil. McKeil Marine is not involved as a Company.Blair Mckeil is one of several private investors .First vessel George N. Carleton is due to be first vessel dry docked,date not known at this time

In looking at a general arrangement plan I have. The Captains suite is aft of the wheelhouse and consists of a Bedroom,washroom and day room.All measuring approx 13 feet by 26 feet.
