The price of scrap iron, but could be worth more if the goal is not to recycle the steel.

Many factors. It can depend on what it was used for, age, size, etc. Bigger costs more.

Strange question but how much does a used old lake freighter cost (either for scrap or to refurbish)? Of course I am not looking to buy, but I was curious how the purchase of such a large item is done - what happens and for how much . Old freighters never die..
