The planning is the easy part. The rest - not so easy.

Replace the windows and doors and it would make a nice reading room/home office for someone nearby with a cottage on the waterfront. Or at least trim the openings out with wood frames and it could be used as a playhouse at a local park.

Alas, that all takes planning and money.

It has been out of service at Sault Ste. Marie. For awhile it was on land at their base next to the CG station, but in recent years was moved, presumably by barge, and was sitting on the pier of the east approach to the Sabin and Davis locks. I have photos of it sitting in both locations.

Todays news says this tug is being scrapped at the Soo. Does anybody have any more info on this? The Roamer boat history listing says that it was scrapped in 2006. http://shipbuildinghistory.com/shipyard . roamer.htm

Where has it been since 2006?
