I'm assuming this was due to it being taken over by Coastwise Trading?
Well, Coastwise Trading Company was a subsidiary of Amoco (and in legal documents I've seen it's actually "Amoco Coastwise Trading Company"), but, yes, in 1985 when all of Standard Oil of Indiana became Amoco Corporation. I never figured out why "Amoco" was dropped from their names just as the Amoco brand consolidated. Coastwise was the manager, and Amoco leased the pair from Security Pacific Equipment Leasing, Inc., as far as I can tell.

Amoco Great Lakes and Amoco Michigan

I was wondering if any knew the approximate date that the Amoco Great Lakes and Amoco Michigan became the Great Lakes and Michigan? I know it was during the 1985 season, but a search of my marine journals has revealed no answers.
