As far as I can tell it was built at Deltaville, Viginia, for Paul Kloss as the Miss Ocean World in 1981, most likely it by Miller Marine, Inc., there. It wasn't directly connected with Fort Lauderdale's Ocean World, but was operated in connection with it, mostly offering 45 minutes tours of the immediate Intracoastal Waterway. Kloss died in 1985 but his family kept the vessel in operation. It drifted to the Institute for Marine Technology at Fort Lauderdale by 1989, whatever that may be. I don't know when it ended up in Chicago as Blue Dog. Here's the Miss Ocean World.

Blue Dog

Does anybody know the history of the excursion vessel Blue Dog owned by Shoreline Sightseeing in Chicago? I have a hard time finding info on it and it appears to be older than the other vessels in their fleet.
