According to an article in the December 1984 issue of ASC Soundings, Kenneth Marcelle started sailing as an Oiler with REISS in 1953 on the J. L. Reiss.

Quite sure he started his sailing days with Reiss in the mid-fifties and then went to ASC with the selling of the fleet in 1969. I've seen his name on Reiss Thanksgiving menus and crew lists, but never met him.
