There were two pictures of the grounding in the November/December 1984 issue of The Telescope magazine.

As a youngster I remember the Roger M. Kyes running aground in the Detroit River in August 1984. I remember it took several tugs to release the vessel. I was wondering if anyone has any newsclippings of this event as a search of online newspapers reveals nothing concerning this incident.
