Here are two more films giving interesting views of post-World War II Great Lakes shipping. This Is America: The Great Lakes was produced in 1946 by RKO through its Pathé subsidiary that made short subjects for the parent company. It includes some shots shown in Lake Carrier which RKO produced for the federal government. The other film Great Lakes was produced by a New York City industrial film producer, Arthur Lodge Productions, for the National Association of Manufacturers.
