Did the Eugene W. Pargny have a fire in its forward section while at the Azcon scrapping dock at Duluth? In looking at a picture of its being scrapped that appeared in the July/Aug 1988 edition of GLMI's Telescope, it appears to have some black soot around its forward porthole openings. Or is this from having the portholes cut out?
On a side note, the Historical Collections of the Great Lakes incorrectly states this ship as being scrapped at Thunder Bay, Ontario. I believe they have it mixed up with the Eugene P. Thomas.
