Leon Falk / Paul H. Carnahan conversion question

The Carnahan's conversion began in Buffalo. They did some preliminary work here like moving the wheelhouse forwards & some other things like that. Then she went to Lorain for the full-blown conversion work with the new hull.

The installation of the German mid-bodies were done by Bethlehem Steel Co., Shipbuilding Division, at Baltimore for the Leon Falk, Jr and at Lorain for the Paul H. Carnahan.

The Leon Falk, Jr's rebuild was done at Baltimore by Bethlehem Steel. It's listed in the Historical Perspective page of this website.

In the Namesakes series, the Leon Falk Jr. and Paul H. Carnahan are described as being converted for Great Lakes service at American Ship Building at Lorain, Ohio. The Ahoy & Farewell and Great Lakes Ships We Remember, however, indicate the Carnahan being converted by American Ship Building while the Falk was rebuilt at Bethlehem Shipbuilding at Baltimore. Does anyone know which version is correct?
