On 26 DEC 14, the new petrol barge Texas was moved away from berth 9 by Selvick tugs, the William C on the stern and Cameron O with the assistance of the Bay Ship tug and was towed to the Great Lakes yacht service yard where it was moored on the face of their dock probably for the winter during the tow, the Texas bumped the Oregon St Bridge bending the railing and damaging the sidewalk. The Oregon st bridge was not closed to vehicle traffic but it was closed to boat traffic inbound from Lake Michigan. The bridge was inspected by D.O.T. bridge inspectors but at this time it is unknown what type of damage was done to lift/span. It appeared to be no damage to the bow of the Texas.
