Ghost ships on the St. Clair River

Morning came with a thick blanket of fog and the sound of fog horns on the river. It burned off by noon, and I got some good shots of the ships in both settings.

The first ship was the Edwin H. Gott, moving down-river to Conneaut.  You can't see anything?  Neither could I! Only the humming engines let me know when they were passing by.

A little later, the American Mariner's throaty fog horn stated her presence as she came up river, with a destination of Green Bay.

Tug Escorte and work barge Ocean Basque 2 were moored on the Canadian side of the river.  I had to guess at the name of the barge, since part of its name is covered by the tire.
