When I drove past it the other day, there was fencing and construction equipment all around it. I think things are in full swing.

I will believe this hype when I see progress. many years have passed since the city tried in vain to sell this property. this property is living in the last century when steamers loaded with people brought not only people but cash to saint clair. the local folks remember bad service, broken down rooms, leaking roofs, parking problems and a very poorly run operation. the pictures in the article show the story.
this place should be torn down and the grounds turned into a park !

What is going on with this building ? Last I heard, someone purchased the inn with hopes of getting funding as an historic building. Many months have passed since the sale and nothing has been done to restore the old buildings. The buildings are a large 'eye sore' in the town and can't be producing any money to support the town's tax base.
