The coffee mug was a gift for the attendees of the 1995 Shipmasters Convention, hosted by the Georgian Bay Huronia Lodge and held in Collingwood. I still have mine.

I have a rather long sailing history for Captain Greig from 1964 when he was a deckhand on the Maunaloa to 2008 when he was the Captain on the Canadian Miner. He sailed for 44 years with Upper Lakes Shipping including 27+ years as Captain. In 1995, Captain Greig was elected Grand President of the International ShipMasters Association. I suspect the cup was his way to honor/celebrate his election to Grand President.

I have a coffee cup from the International Shipmasters Assocation, Georgian Bay Huronia Lodge 15, dated Feb. 1-4, 1995 that is compliments of Captain Gerald Greig.

Anybody out there who knows more about this?
