Well, it depends what you're looking for. If you're trying to build it 100% accurate, and to-scale, you should search colleges, websites or museums for blueprints of the ship of its sisters (Johnstown (2), or Elton Hoyt II (2)). Otherwise, you could do as I do - build the length and with to dimensions, and just estimate the size of the rest based on photos.

For information, look at the Buckeye/Sparrows Point gallery here on Boatnerd. Or do a general Google image search for the ship, usually you can find helpful photos.

Remember, take the ship one step at a time - work on the hull, then deckhouses, memorizing photos and redrawing them in between, to get the best results.

Sparrows Point

I'm looking into making a new model of the Sparrows Point(former Buckeye) and I'm just trying to find some more pictures and info on it before I start. Any suggestions?
