Thanks for posting that. I received the e-mail invite, and would have loved to have gone out there, but had no way of making it. Appreciate seeing it this way.

Icebreaking Duluth-Superior harbor

The USCG Alder was out Thursday March 16 on its initial icebreaking trip for the 2017 season. Aboard were guests from the Lake Superior Marine Museum and this 35 minute video, the link below, was shot on this trip. The attached picture shows the course that it ran, starting with moving a buoy that was off-station, then running down to near the Superior Entry, then back and up the harbor to the CN oredocks, then finally back to its dock.
