What a piece of history!! Thank you Mr Link. And thanks to Garbear for digging up the history/video of the mills on Calumet River/Chicago. Sad commentary, that type of history is not taught in schools today, instead of the garbage kids are fed today.

I remember seeing Seatrain ships in Hawaii during the early 70s. They were carrying containers if I recall correctly. I know they appear in a few episodes of the original Hawaii 5-0 series.

Footage of the original Seatrain, a railroad car ferry which served Cuba from New Orleans. It could carry 95 freight cars and used a crane to load and unload.
