Hard to choose. The Ryerson has always been a favorite. I took a trip on the Arthur M. Anderson so that is a shoe in. My daughter calls every boat that comes in or goes out "Mesabi Miner" so that one is for laughs.

I've always had a fondness for the Montrealais and the Quebecois. Other than perhaps a stern that is a bit on the plain side, they're beautiful ships, they sound great, have nice sounding names. and proud histories. Wish they had another 50 years ahead of them.

I love the Ryerson, however, I always had a fondness for the Canadian Vickers ships.

First I really loved being on the Ryerson, and my second choice is the Sykes. The best footer was the Burns Harbor.

Now that the Boyer has been rehabbed, the famous Cliff's colors no longer exist. My favorite? Anything that was in originally in Cleveland Cliff's colors. Self-unloaders just don't have the beauty of the straight deckers.

I represent at least a few of the 10k views, so I'll add my vote.

1) Roger Blough (her seemingly disproportionate width, especially as viewed bow-on, just makes her look..cute)
2) St. Marys Challenger (still steamin'!)
3) Edward L. Ryerson (beautifully streamlined, the last Manitowoc-built freighter, and the end of an era)
4) The AAA boats (classic Laker lines)
