So far the Red Wings aren't doing too bad at 5-1.

Well, it looks like the Lions are back to their typical and usual old selves again with two straight losses now. They have now lost to both the 49ers and the Falcons and are now 5-2 and way behind the Pack whom I may add beat the Vikes today and are on a roll at 7-0. Keep in mind Detroit still has to play the Pack twice both at home on Thanksgiving and at Green Bay on New Year's Day where they haven't won in Green Bay since 1991. Good Luck!

I would have to bet on Green Bay vs the Patriots in the Super Bowl and that would be a tough one to call considering both teams have experience. However, as much as I hate Tom Brady and the Patriots, give them credit as he's helped them win 3 titles and Brady was the Super Bowl MVP twice. Also, they got Belichick as their coach as well. The Pats are also tough to beat at home especially in the snow and cold weather. Can the Chargers travel to New England and beat them in the cold? I don't think they can.

Rob, Detroit may be on a roll but, look at their schedule for the remainder of the year. They play the 4-1 49ers at home this week and then they still have to play the Packers twice both at home and in Green Bay on New Year's Day where they haven't won since 1991. The Lions also play in New Orleans yet and also on the road in Oakland and home to San Diego on Christmas Eve. Let's not forget too that Matthew Stafford has not been healthy since the Lions drafted him. It seems that every QB the Lions have had through the years has been injured and been a bust at some point in their career. Look at Rodney Peete years ago from USC when they got him. Everyone thought he was great and then he came here and he was injured all the time. Look at two other QB's both from college Joey Harrington and Andre Ware both of which came here and their careers were a bust. Get my point?

Detroit is on a roll and if they can keep healthy they are going to have a good shot. The defending champs the Packers have the grit and experience to make it back and Rogers is a hell of a quarterback. It will be a toss up between the two of them in the NFC. As far as the Bills, I have to see them get in the playoffs for certain before I will speculate anything. I have been a fan since I was in diapers and spent my fall/winters from 12 yrs old to 28 yrs old sitting at the Ralph (Ralph Wilson Stadium) watching them. I was at the greatest comeback in NFL history game. I have seen the best years and the years were you could barely give the tickets away. This year has been a surprise, but remember in 08 we went 5-1 only to lose the rest of the games. Time will tell, but it would be nice to see two rust belt teams battle it out!!

Just a thought that Green Bay may have something to add to this conversation.

I'll bet all those Vikings fans are wishing that Favre had not retired after last season afterall? Isn't it ironic that the Redskins once had McNabb as their QB and they are 2-1, while the Vikes now with McNabb are 0-3? Wonder how much longer McNabb starts?

I am from the Detroit area but, I've been a Bills fan since they went to the Super Bowl in 1990 and lost to the G-Men. Blame it on me I guess you could say as I cursed the Bills by jumping on their bandwagon. To think earlier in the year I thought they needed to get rid of Fitzpatrick and the entire team but now?
