Hanna C-4 Conversion Proposal

Maybe this has been asked before but does anyone know anything about a Hanna proposal to convert some surplus C4 vessels into Great Lakes bulk carriers during the late 1960s or early 1970s. It was proposed that these ships would have a carrying capacity of around 45,000 tons when completed. Obviously, this never happened but I came across a brief mention of this in a document online a while ago and the other thread about the Hanna boats sort of jogged my memory about it. With the fuel crisis in the early 1970s, these ships would have been expensive to operate and if they were not rebuilt as self-unloaders I doubt they would have had long careers on the lakes.
