What I did was almost as bad. I sent Beecher a long e-mail in reply. I'm interested in both the Hullets and tne WGM. I was a tour guide on the WGM until last yesr.
Oh well, live and learn.

Les, at least you were not silly enough to post about it like I did, talk about "hook, line and sinker"!Les Weston wrote:I thought it was hilarious. I fell for it hook, line and sinker.

Re: Rock Cut Directions
OK I will. Tell the folks, "sorry", if they felt my April fools joke was too harsh. 'wasn't meant to be.
The NE Ohio descendants of the passengers aboard the Titanic are laying a wreath by the commemorative marker at North Coast Harbor on Saturday.
I saw the USCG patrolling today with what looked like a 60 cal. mounted on the front of the swift boat.
Bob Vance is busy, busy, busy!
Still waiting to hear of the Huletts' fate.
Cheers

Re: Rock Cut Directions
Thanks, everybody. The info was just what I wanted. The last time we were there was in 2006.
Beecher, if you can, try to make Engineers Day in the future. It is a lot of fun with great company (especially the Thursday picnic.

Re: Rock Cut Directions
Taken from a post here awhile back [couple of years maybe?]:
Take Riverside Dr. down past Mission Pt for at least 3 miles until you come to a flashing yellow light (where you will see a *Riverside Dr/Barbeau* sign). Turn right and keep going south for just over 11 miles until you come to the first of two stop signs at 15 Mile at Barbeau. Turn left there and keep going east for another 3 miles until you come to the second stop sign and turn right. Head down Scenic Drive for one and a half miles until you come to the mailbox for 15933 Scenic Dr. Immediately beyond and across the street from this mailbox is where the Rock Cut driveway is at. If you get the St. Mary's River Sportsman Club on your right, you've gone too far.

I thought I had saved them, but apparently I did not.
Can someone post the directions again? My son and I would like to visit the Rock Cut on our trip for Engineers Day.
TIA
Re: Rock Cut Directions
Hi Les!
I "Google Mapped" the trip at a little over 500 miles in 8hrs or so. May your trip be an adventure to remember Sir. I'm jealous.
The littoral Cleveland action includes:The American Spirit closing on the Harbor this minute as the Buffalo has vacated Whiskey Island's bulk terminal. She has just whistled her status on the river with a an extra long uncharacteristic of her. (Sounded great in the Valley's echos) Sounds like a bridge issue.
I got shots of a 'footer and McKee Sons recently (to be posted).
The current International Rock & Roll action will bring security zones for the maritime setting. They do a great job.
The new ship tracking AIS mapping is the bomb, huh!
The future seems bright here as well! Hope to see you soon.
Cheers.
