CLAUDE A. DESGAGNES went to Cornwall to load manufactured steel fuel storage tanks for Milne Inlet on Baffin Island. As the dock in Cornwall had seldom been used before, the use of a tug was required as the vessel had to turn around and head stern first in the current to the dock. Not many seaway pilots had gone there either but one was found who had been there before and took the vessel alongside. The tug remained there for the departure as well for assistance, both were done in daylight for added precautions.
The fuel tanks, as the rest of the vessel's cargo is destined for Milne Inlet where Baffinland Iron Mines will shit its very high grade iron ore. The minerals have such a purity that welding can be done directly on the minerals extracted according to one eye witness.

Desgagnes (Des-gag-nes)
Gaudreault (ga-oud-re-alt)
both are French names. I don't know French very well, so these might be inaccurate
