We met "The Daughters" in the Welland Canal Oct. 1980. We were up-bound with Horne's boat the William Darrell headed for Port Dover for 5 year inspection. Ron Young is at the pilot house door. I had the "Radarman's" van and was able to get this picture, one of my favorites.

Thank you Sarah for your Dad's compliment. He was a great guy and we all loved to sail one of his ship. When he was in financial trouble I volunteered to sail his ships without pay just to keep him in business, as a couple for others Captains did. Being the man he was he refused our offer. Capt. R metz
