There is a far away land known as Canada that I'm sure would be willing to share some of its massive iron ore reserves with us for the right price. Just a simple boat trip down the the St. Lawrence (for those wise enough to have fleets that will fit in the Seaway locks.)

The closing of the Escanaba Ore Fock is a concern.
If he Soo Locks go down for any reason, there us no back up other than rail.
