Nevermind I was able to find most of my answers to my questions threw a few sources that I have. All that I'm still wondering is does anyone know what type of work she's haveing done over the winter that would cause her to need to enter winter layup so early in December at the Great Lakes Shipyard in Cleveland Ohio? It should be noted that she did load a winter storage cargo at Lafarge Alpena prior to her departure for the Great Lakes Shipyard in Cleveland Ohio. She arrived at the Great Lakes Shipyard in Cleveland Ohio this past Monday December 4th in the early evening hours. Thanks so much for any and all information.

Seems odd that she's heading for Winter Layup so early. She is usually one of the remaining 5 or 6 US boats to lay up for the winter. In year's past she usually runs till sometime in January and lays up with a winter storage load in Cleveland. Any idea why she's laying up so early and where she will lay up at? Thanks so much for any and all information.

Hi! I will be visiting Duluth the 18th-21st of December and am wondering if anyone knows if the Alpena might possibly be making one more trip to the Twin Ports this year? Hoping against all hope to catch her. TIA
