Thank you for the information, I didn't know that. For some reason I think it looks really nice with that black hull, sort of like the dark navy blue hull it got after being purchased by Algoma Tankers and renamed Algosar. I have attached an image I took of the Algosar while docked at Sarnia, Ontario, on a summer evening in 1999.

In the Today in History column on the website for January 13, 2024 there is a photograph of the Imperial St. Clair in what appears to be either a dark blue or black hull color scheme. Is this a trick with the lighting or did the ship, or Imperial Oil fleet for that matter, ever operate with such a scheme? I always remember the fleet having a light blue color scheme. That is one nice picture of the Imperial St. Clair.
