NV is relatively new to have major downtime like this. Wondering if it was due cutting corners and maximizing profit. I see algoma has been moving stone to southwest sales, i think mckeil is paying them to do that.
Northern Venture is 22 years old. McKeil doesn't seem like cheapskates to me, but that is just my view as an observer.

Any update on the Northern Venture? Obviously still out of service but were things that bad?

Not sure when she is scheduled to return however, she’s been in Hamilton now since early May so about a month or so close to that. Also, McKeil has both the new Ontario Venture and now the Manitoulin doing runs and trips some of which I’m sure were probably intended for the Northern Venture. So at least McKeil has the two self unloaders busy so far hauling & delivering cargoes. Give McKeil credit as IMO anyway, they invested wisely in getting the Manitoulin this year as they are keeping her busy! I’ve already seen them 3 times at least on the St. Clair River in nearly a month as she’s one busy and active vessel for sure and certain.

When is the Northern Venture scheduled to go back in service? Seems to be pretty serious trouble on her to still be docked in Hamilton..
