The Brant Corp, under Terry F Warren should be commended on bringing back the Algocen, a.k.a. Valgocen, JW Shelley, Phoenix Star, hopefully it will be a fruitful endeavour.

The owners were identified in the court documents approving the sale and were previously part owners of Vanguard. The companies are affiliated with the T.F Warren group out of Brantford, Ontario which have extensive interests in services related to heavy industry and tank and industrial terminals particulalry coatings. They apparently picked up Vanguard's long term contract with Richardson to carry grain but do not otherwise appear to have been involved in shipping themsleves.

Each vessel has different ownership, One belongs under this banner821922 Canada Inc 57 Old Ondaga RD? Brantford Ont. this may be the Phoenix Star.

The Phoenix Star (former J W Shelley) departed her lay-up berth in Sorel late this afternoon and is underway on her first trip of the season and first trip for her new owners. Believed to be headed for Thunder Bay.
