There is a Hobby Shop in Traverse City that has Great Lakes Freighter models. Don't know about the quality, as I just saw one in the window and a couple on the shelf.

What is the "right" price?

I have a Carr's hobby Fitz I barely started years ago but is still in the original box and should be complete. The only thing I did was begin carving down the hull blank and I never got to far. If you are interested in it E-mail me at [email protected] and make me an offer. I'd like to see someone bring life to this model.

They are still in business but they no longer sell the kits of the Fitz or the other freighter.
