Crew shortage are a world wide problem I read an article by deep sea skipper that hadn’t been off his ship in 11 months Now it sounds like here if you’re not vaxxed you can’t sail There are lots of anti vaxxers sailing out here

It’s tied up due to the lack of crew there is no captains, mates, engineers, etc to run her she is expecting to run again around the 15th sept when the crew has had their holidays although this is all tentative

It was posted to a Goderich related Facebook group.

According to the admin of the group, the fire department was there due to a power line pole fire near the ship.

It's layup, not supplies or fuel or crew change or something. No cargoes for her right now.

It doesn’t appear to be a short visit. I’ve seen pictures posted on Facebook - ballast has been pumped out and anchors are down (including one on land). It appears to be tied up for a long period of time ie winter or longer?

The Algoma Guardian had tied up on the north wall of Goderich Harbour. Does anyone know what is happening with it ie layup etc?
