Topic review - Lighthouse Vent Ball
Author Message
Post subject:  Lighthouse Vent Ball  Reply with quote
Ahoy!
I recently purchased what turns out to be a vent ball from a lighthouse. Missing the lightning rod but I'm searching for one now. I'm not sure which lighthouse it came from, but she said it was from the Great Lakes Region. I have been searching old photo records of the lighthouses in the region without any success. I know, seen one, seen them all. This one seems different. It has the vents in the side of the ball, not the bottom. The holes cut are unusual as well. They are 2 half moon cuts, side by side and top and bottom. Does anyone have any idea where this may have come from?
Thanks in advance!
