I was ready in the news section that the Mackinaw possibly had her engines replaced. She's not that old and had, if I recall correctly has 36 series Cats. It seems unusual that she'd have issues this soon. The Mississagi has had her 3612 for 30 years, and the Cuyahoga and Joyce L. VanEnkevort have had 36's for about 15 years. The Algoma Progress has had two 3612's for almost 25 years. The only big failures of 36 series Catterpillars I've heard is on MK5000 Locomotives, and that had more to do with the Kato generators they used.
Anyone know any more?
