The painting of the Canadian Sailor is most likely 80+ years old. Night scene on black velvet by unknown artist. Signature appears to be N Cockell (or Lockell) from New Zealand.
Size 21" high 23.5" wide. Weight 6 lbs.

Canadian Sailor was built in Port Arthur in 1919. She was sold Japanese and renamed Nitei Maru. Sunk in 1942.
