...and Jones and Laughlin hasn't existed independently since 1984, and LTV, the company J&L became when it merged with Republic Steel, has also been consumed once or twice over since then. Given all that I suppose I understand why they chose the
Beeghly as the one to be renamed. I'll still miss the sound of the old name and the new one will take a while to get used to, but as was mentioned above it's a lot more sensible and palatable than, say, the spate of names ASC chose for the Oglebay Norton boats.
