The one to the east is the abandoned Victory Mills Soya Silo and the one to the west is the abandoned Canada Malt Plant. Back in the day when Toronto was a port city, there were alot of lakers and they would tie up to load/unload from these silos.

The CMP is in pretty bad condition and will probably be completely demolished eventually. The Soya silo is much more likely to be preserved. Both of them are just silos now, almost all of the other buildings that comprised them are gone.

Wow that was quite something to see. Way more people there than I expected, several media outlets were there too like CP24, CBC, CTV, CityTV, etc.

IMS did fulfill their promise to let Captain John ride off into the sunset too. I'd say he left the stage with honor.

The tow passed out through the Eastern Gap, Toronto, at 11:00 a.m., making good time. Molly M. 1 on the bow, Jarrett M. at the stern.

Toronto departure now scheduled for about 10:30 AM Thursday:

Tentative arrival at the entrance to the Welland Canal is in the 2:30 to 4:30 PM range, where another inspection must be done before entering the canal.

Nadro Marine now reporting tugs for Jadran aren't expected in Toronto until about 9 or 9:30 Thursday morning. Not sure how long hookup will take-likely a few hours or so.

Because of weather, Nadro Marine is saying Jadran tow has been pushed back to Thursday morning approximately 8 AM.
