Depending on who you talk to, in some quarters, Ross is considered to be something of a hero. He was the one to step in and buy out what was left of Cleveland's LTV after Bricker and his band of pirates looted what was left of the company by that time. For a while it appeared as if the industry would die all together here. Beyond that, Ross wasn't in the news much so it's tough to tell long-term what kind of guy he is.

Trump is expected to select billionaire shipowner Wilbur Ross Jr as Secretary of the Commerce Department. After doing a little studying on This Guy,It sounds a bit spooky for Great lakes Shipping!, Our Country has always had highs and lows as far as economy goes!,I experienced this as a Carpenter for 30 years!But having a Guy who specializes in scooping up struggling Company's and having a final say on make or Break decisions on the fate of Corporations,makes a Guy Worry about the Jones act! and what He may do for Personal Gain! Sorry for being so negative! anyone have a more positive spin on this? mn brett
