Do anyone know where I can watch this. I'm in canada and cant find a program to view it.

Those type of shows are often short on accuracy and more about sensationalism. I once saw a TV documentary stating a laker's cargo as over 50 million pounds of ore instead of 26 thousand tons. A completely ridiculous unit of measure but impressive to the layman.

The (cable) Science Channel has launched a new series entitled "Monster Ships" apparently designed to compete with the Discovery Channels long running "Mighty Ships".

I hadn't seen advance notice of any lakers being featured, only what has become the usual fare of cruise and container ships, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the entire Wednesday August 21 episode would be devoted to the Algoma Sault (Season 1, Episode 3, "Titan of the Great Lakes").

I'm still flabbergasted after watching it, exceptionally well done, with a good mix of historical, technical and lakes mariner related tidbits, including footage of the Windoc incident (what's not to like about that!).

It looks like the episode can be viewed at the Science Channel online streaming portal at http://www.sciencechannel.com/ IF your local TV provider offers their programming.
