any word if these vessels will be on the lakes this season or what their names will be, any thoughts if the self-unloader will appear on the saginaw river.

Interesting vessels to be sure, the Litrico will look good in grey. Such a shame they couldn't pick up any of the ASC steamers or another Canadian bulker on her deathbed instead. But, that's the nature of a competitive market with a finite number of vessels that neither player wants the other to have. The contracts Lower Lakes bulkers run and those Vanguard has I'm sure are sources of revenue that both Algoma and CSL would much rather have their ships be occupied with. (Especially in the case of the Shelley/Algocen)

The ocean bulker is Tina Litrico, the bulk carrier apparently being by LLT/GRN for a little over $5 mil. Also, here's the barge Mary Turner and its tug, Beverly Anderson, apparently the tug/barge combo that LLT/GRN are also supposed to be buying for around $20 mil! I understand the bulker is likely going to fly the Canadian flag, but I can't confirm that. The tug and barge is likely heading for Grand River Nav.

The Judy Litrico is now called Tina Litrico, as mentioned in a previous post, it is most likely the ship that was purchased. She arrived at the shipyard in Varacruz, Mexico on July 10 for extensive dry docking, she has been there ever since.
