Todays "Today in Great Lakes History" has a wonderful engraving of the steamer Lady Elgin. However, the text cites a scow schooner named Lady Elgin that went ashore a mile north of Goderich, ON in 1887. Seeing as the Lady Elgin disaster that killed a bunch of people took place in Lake Michigan in 1860, I'm assuming the really beautiful engraving was posted in error.
