The conversion is complete and she is afloat at the yard in China. I believe they were hoping to be underway this month. There were some onboard photos posted on Facebook in late Jan. Also - this is the former Algosea, not Algoma Hansa.

Transport Canada's website does show Kathy McKeil registered Canadian. https://wwwapps.tc.gc.ca/Saf-Sec-Sur/4/ ... ils/827258 . As far as I know, she's still in China undergoing her rebuilding - if my information is correct, she arrived in China in February 2024.

Does anyone have any details or information as to the construction of the Kathy McKeil in China? This was the former Algoma Hansa a tanker from Algoma which left the lakes for China a few years ago. It was to have been at the time re-built in China to a bulk carrier for McKeil but I have not seen or heard anything further on them nor have I seen any photos either. If anyone has any further details along with info and photos, that would be great and also very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
